Walking

There are numerous walks throughout the Cotswolds varying from long distance routes, such as the Cotswold Way, from Chipping Campden in the north (see picture opposite) to Bath in the South; to the countryside trails to circular walks. In addition there are also a large number of town trails, where you can enjoy the architectural heritage that makes up the Cotswolds.

It is possible to organise Guided Walks. an experienced guide will accompany you, pointing out many features of interest.

There are many books and leaflets on Circular walks. The whole family can easily enjoy these. Get the kids to pojint out the waymarks.

Lastly you can plan walking holidays in the Cotswolds. There is plenty of accommodation along the way. So you can be confident to take on the long distance routes or the numerous local walks.

Touring

The cotswolds is an excellent area to tour. There are numerous roads that criss-cross these uplands, yet the countryside remains unspoilt. Along the western escarpment there are many outstanding views across the vales. There are quite a number of touring books available in general bookshops in the area, as well as the Tourist Information Centres.
